Cyndee Ferlin

Why did you start your business, or choose the position you are currently in?

I started my business after being in the security industry for over 18 years. I was doing everything that I would be doing running my own company at my current position except for the billing and I wasn’t reaping any of the benefits. I love helping people protect their, homes, businesses, and lives.

You just won 10MM in the lottery. What would you do?

I would travel more, invest some, do some upgrading on my home and car, give some to my family and friends and local charities and enjoy life.

What is the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

I absolutely love to make people laugh and I often plot playing jokes on people and telling funny stories mostly about myself. I laugh at myself all the time.

Your Journey: How did you get to where you are?

I started out as a cosmetologist and was recruited into the sales world and I absolutely loved it. I started out selling nuts and bolts up In Western Pa and was promoted to sales manager to start a new office in Charlotte. I started not liking or agreeing with any company’s philosophy or how they treated their employees and customers so I started looking for another sales job and a friend told me about an opening at ADT working with commercial accounts. That was over 30 years ago and I still love what I do.

Anyone building or renovating a new business or home. I love working with restaurants, daycares, and warehouses. Another great referral is a Property Management Company they often have to help HOA’s find security companies to install cameras and access control into the pool area.

Being happy and content with your life by being debt-free and being able to do the things that you enjoy doing without worrying about money.

Why is it important to you to be part of WOW?

I love networking and meeting new people. I’ve never been in an all-women networking group so I’m excited to be a part of something different.
