Why did you start your business, or choose the position you are currently in?

I became a virtual assistant because as a former teacher, I am interested in helping people but not interested in working for people whose belief systems are not aligned with my own. I create space in the lives of small business owners so they can get back to their best creative selves.

You just won 10MM in the lottery. What would you do?

I would sell my house, buy a boat, and go where the weather is good.

What is the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

I have five grown kids. Four of them have special needs. Three of them I did not give birth to. When most of them were teenagers, I was going to graduate school in NY, and I had a food budget of $100 a week. They all know how to work hard and they know the value of a dollar.

Your Journey: How did you get to where you are?

My first client was my husband. He is a toolmaker and is a vendor for companies. He is very good at making parts but not at marketing, designing websites, or bookkeeping. That’s where I came into the picture. I had several friends who were also small business owners who saw what I could do and reached out. One of them introduced me to the virtual assistant industry, and the rest, as they say, is history!

How would your best friend describe you?

My best friends would describe me as a classy, driven, and innovative female who stops at nothing to get what she wants, all while sporting a big smile on her face.

I am looking for female business owners who need help in the areas of General Administration, All Things Digital (Marketing, Social Media, SEO, Web Design, Etc), and Project Management. It is my mission to help small business owners get back to their best creative selves by releasing them from their endless to-do lists.

What inspires you?

I love collaboration. Sitting down with a good cup of coffee and an inspired person for a couple of hours to problem solve is such fun!

What makes you laugh?

There are too many things to list here!

If you were stranded on a desert island and could take three items, what would they be?

My husband, my dog, and a fishing pole.

Whats your definition of success?

If you are happy, then you are successful. The end.

Why is it important to you to be part of WOW?

I love meeting like-minded female business owners to expand my community.

What do you want your legacy to be?

I would love for people to remember me as someone who was always there to help, provide solutions, a hand, information, and a smile.
