Why did you start your business, or choose the position you are currently in?

I was brought to this line of business through an act of fate, then a lot of learning and many leaps of faith followed. An opportunity to dabble in the leadership world showed up for me after a road-side cry with God for guidance. At that time I was lost in my career, and in life, as a mom with young kids.

Once I accepted the direction in front of me, it was a matter of focus, dedication, learning, and growing through every challenge that stood in my way.  Before I knew it I was giving keynote speeches and teaching executives how to lead. The business side unfolded in many ways and continues to in the direction it is meant to be.

I continue to choose this path because I know the different leadership skills and team development make. They can make or break a small business. These skills take you from getting by to thriving.

You just won 10MM in the lottery. What would you do with the money?

Take care of my family for life, start a non-profit, and invest in some great businesses.

What is the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

I have a love for life teachings including but not limited to mindfulness, kundalini yoga, religious wisdom, spiritual guidance, and eternal/internal growth.

Your journey: How did you get to where you are?

A bit of choice, a lot of faith.

I have an amazing mother that I give a lot of credit to for teaching me to be the mom, the wife, and to have the business skills that make me who I am. I have a fabulous family (my tribe), friends, and so many supporters along the journey that have taught me encouraged me and supported me. It is because of the people around me that I am where I am and will be where I go.

WOW members love to give referrals; who is a good referral for you?

The results we have in our business are a direct reflection of our leadership skills. Any business that is looking to improve their customer service, lesson their team turn over, gain more efficiency in processes, and have larger profit margins is a great referral for me.

How would your best friend describe you?

I do not know, so I asked:
“She genuinely cares about people, has a big heart.
She is very knowledgable and loves to share her knowledge with those who will listen.”

What inspires you?

Challenges. It has taken a few years to realize this: Challenges inspire me. My own challenges, and others. They are puzzles in the game of life and I love figuring out how to overcome them and then watching the puzzle pieces come together.

Also, Daily Inspirations: #SEEINSPIRATIONS

What makes you laugh?

Really stupid jokes and witty people.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could take three items, what would they be?

A satellite phone (to call for help of course), my husband (I totally stole that from Peggy – its good!), and a hammock (sleep off the ground and use as a fishing net!).

Why is it important to you to be part of WOW?

Because WOW women are just awesome. Real, authentic, good-hearted gals looking to support and encourage each other in so many ways. We all need a bit of that in our life, and often.

What do you want your legacy to be?

No matter the challenges: “where there is a will, there is a way.” Choose happiness, choose those you love, and most of all choose to live!
