Kerry Brown

Mortgage Loan Originator
Peoples Bank
Why did you start your business, or choose the position you are currently in?

I started my banking career in 1995 when a bank officer recruited me at 24 years of age. I spent the next five years of my career as a Relationship Banker. During this time, a mortgage lender helped me get into my first home, and she was very encouraging and kind. She held my hand through the entire process, and I decided I wanted to make someone else feel the same way, which jump-started my career in mortgages. I began working for the same knowledgeable and kind woman who helped me with my first home five years previously. She took me under her wing and took the time to teach me the mortgage industry. We were an amazing team. Six years later, she had provided me with enough tools to branch out on my own. This is when I found Peoples Bank, a community bank in which I share a lot of the same core values. I continue to grow my career on building relationships and trust.
