Why did you start your business, or choose the position you are currently in?
I’ve been an educator for over 13 years. I love my work, but as with many occupations, some parts don’t fit very well. I have had great success in my years as an educator and have gained many skills that will serve me well in my next adventure: becoming an entrepreneurial woman! Organization, planning, problem-solving, simplifying complex ideas or tasks, and building relationships are my strengths. I have used planning systems for most of my adult life and I am inspired to design systems of my own in order to better meet the needs of my clients and to help people to reach their goals, live an intentional and deliberate life, and feel success and fulfillment.
You just won 10MM in the lottery. What would you do?
I would set myself up to be financially independent for the balance of my life and then I would spread the balance around. I would probably set up a non-profit that would focus on an area of passion for me (elephants, mental-health, supporting the elderly, education…).
What is the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?
I traveled to Italy solo for 3 weeks as my own version of a walk-about.
Your Journey: How did you get to where you are?
I have arrived where I am via a complex interconnected shared life with other amazing humans that have enabled me to do the things that I have as well as by having a drive to consistently improve my life and the life of others. We are all in this together.
How would your best friend describe you?
My best friend would say that I am witty and fun, mixed in with a whole lot of thinking!
What inspires you?
People that connect with you by really listening and being present. People that do hard things and are happy and fulfilled. People who choose to look at what is working and right. And, animals. Animals inspire me to live in the moment!
What makes you laugh?
Witty people make me laugh, especially if they are kind and witty!
If you were stranded on a desert island and could take three items, what would they be?
I would take a knife, a hat, and a journal with a pen.
Whats your definition of success?
Success is having enough. Enough has a different definition for everyone.
Why is it important to you to be part of WOW?
We are stronger together. I want to foster relationships with like-minded women and support each other in achieving our goals and dreams. There is so much for us to learn from each other and so many amazing things we can accomplish with the support and help from one another.
What do you want your legacy to be?
I want to be known as someone that helped others add value and intentionality to their life.
WOW MEMBERS LOVE TO GIVE REFERRALS; WHO IS A GOOD REFERRAL FOR YOU?
A good referral for my business would be someone that is looking for tools that will help them to be more productive, streamlined in their approach to accomplishing their goals, and/or looking for ways to prioritize what is important to them so that they can live a balanced, brave life. People that embrace planning systems can live a life that is more fulfilling, work smarter/not harder, and more in alignment with their values and priorities.
