Sherrie Anderson

Why did you start your business, or choose the position you are currently in?

To regain my sanity…lol! Actually, I sold real estate in Texas, which is where I am originally from for 8 years, and then my husband was transferred to upstate New York. We added 5 more children to the 4 we had already (yes, we are certifiably insane but love our Supersized family:), so I stayed home and ran our bustling household for 14 years, including homeschooling our kids. In 2015 we decided we had enough of winter to last a lifetime and moved our family plus my father, who had also moved in with us, here to Lake Norman. My love for this area, real estate, and helping others walk through this season of their lives gives me great personal satisfaction. Having made several major moves over the years has also given me an understanding of the whole process and all that goes along with such a major life change. Understanding your dreams and desires is my number one priority, and seeing my clients watch their dreams become their reality is the greatest reward to me as a real estate professional. I also love to show my clients that real estate does not have to be stressful and can actually be a rewarding and fun experience!

You just won 10MM in the lottery. What would you do?

Move to an island with my husband and 3 items… (See question below)

What is the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

I am an ordained minister and professional Christian speaker. I also am a vacation rental owner and love connecting with my guests personally! I also secretly have always wanted to be a comedian… there, I said it!

Your Journey: How did you get to where you are?

Seriously… only by the grace of God!

Truly… Anyone who owns a home, wants a home, or is considering selling or buying in the future. Also, those who are simply wanting to know their current value of their home to keep an eye on market trends. I really see myself not as a once-and-done real estate agent, but as a lifetime real estate adviser and friend.

How would your best friend describe you?

Genuine, loyal, faith-filled, and does have a wild side:-)

What inspires you?

My faith, being outdoors, and travel!

What makes you laugh?

My family, my 6 four-legged fur babies, my friends, and of course… politics.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could take three items, what would they be?

My Bible, my hot husband, and my kids…. no, scratch that last one. A margarita machine…lol! (See? I told you I should have been a comedian:).

Whats your definition of success?

In life it is truly loving God and loving others. That includes my clients who most often end up becoming lifelong friends!

Why is it important to you to be part of WOW?

I love connecting with other women who love what they do and being active in our Lake Norman community!

What do you want your legacy to be?

She loved and lived with passion serving God, her family, and others!
