Wendy Sanders

Why did you start your business, or choose the position you are currently in?

I started this business because I wanted to bring safer products home to families. We don’t always know what to buy or where to find it. I help families save time, money, and bring non-toxic products into the home.

You just won 10MM in the lottery. What would you do?

We have made it a point to be debt-free, but I still have some mortgage left and that would be the first thing I do is pay that off. My bucket list is to travel out west for a month with my boys in a Winnebago. I would give a lot to St. Jude’s children’s hospital.

What is the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

My husband and I competed in the country-western dance circuit throughout the country. This was many years ago and before our son. Our favorite dance is west coast swing.

Your Journey: How did you get to where you are?

I have always been an athlete and into health and wellness, so I have always been passionate about helping others stay active and help with nutrition. When I became a customer of Melaleuca 5yrs ago, I knew I found my home, and now I have an opportunity to help families even more.

How would your best friend describe you?

She would describe me as a loyal friend that would drop everything to help no matter what the situation.

Anyone and everyone! We all clean our house, use personal care products, take supplements, eat snacks and use nutritional items. We offer over 400+ products that you use each and every day, just a healthier version.

What inspires you?

My team inspires me each and every day. I have never worked with people who truly want you to succeed. We help each other before we help ourselves. My son also inspires me and I hope I inspire him every day from my words and actions.

What makes you laugh?

Definitely my son and husband. I do spend a lot of time with girlfriends because I find it therapeutic and so much laughter comes from these gatherings.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could take three items, what would they be?

Sunscreen, a knife, and peppermint oil.

What is your definition of success?

In terms of success, it means something different for everyone. My success is writing reasonable goals and achieving them.

Why is it important to you to be part of WOW?

It’s important for me to learn about other women in business. I want to network and get to know ladies who are local and learn and grow from this group.

What do you want your legacy to be?

That I was passionate about helping people staying active and living a long healthy life.
